August payment statistics time! 🥳
Lots of movement this month across the board — and a few clear trends are emerging.

Once again, Monero is the most used coin on NanoGPT, coming in at 36.17% of all payments.
Privacy remains a top priority for many of our users.
Nano rebounded strongly to 31.69%, gaining back ground on XMR and now being used almost as much as Monero.
Bitcoin stayed consistent in third place with 11.29% of payments. Meanwhile, Lightning usage more than doubled month-over-month to 2.16% (from 0.95%), a great sign for small, fast transactions.
Litecoin registered 5.45%, with Litecoin MWEB adding another 0.07%. Solid and steady usage overall.
The Ethereum family contributed 5.31% of volume across ETH mainnet and L2s (Base, Arbitrum, Optimism), including coins on those chains.
DASH grew to 1.01%, overtaking Bitcoin Cash at 0.82% this month.
After a very strong first month, Zcash settled at 1.84% as initial launch excitement eased.

Among our recent additions, Lightning and ZEC are doing well overall, though ZEC cooled off from its launch spike. EGLD saw virtually no usage again this month, and Kaspa remained near-zero.
